After taking a health hiatus from blog writing, I wanted to pick up where I left off. But when I last wrote about products, I was writing for a 0-3 month old and now I have a one year old. I ended up having a lot of fun thinking back on the 3-6 month stage and looking through photos to remember what we used most often. A few products really stood out:
Baby Brezza Bottle Washer Pro: I had the privilege of having my husband home for the first six weeks. During that time, he was our go-to bottle and pump part washer. Once he returned to work, I found myself daunted by pump parts. We had a bottle sterilizer for the newborn stage but that isn’t really a solution for cleaning since you still have to clean parts before putting them in the sterilizer. I found the Baby Brezza Bottle Washer on Facebook marketplace (a rare find since it was so new at the time) and I decided to treat myself. I ran it 1-2x a day and it helped my dish anxiety stay at bay.
At around 9 months I started getting frustrated with how much space it took up on our counter and I opted for throwing pump parts (where possible) in the dishwasher. I resold the Baby Brezza back on Facebook Marketplace for the same price I bought it for. So while we didn’t have it very long, I think it helped me keep pumping where I may have decided it was too much trouble without it.
Crate and Barrel’s Busy Baby Activity Chair was another Facebook Marketplace score (and a resell too). Our son absolutely loved this chair and we could easily bring it around the house (or even outside). While not all my “beige baby” items were winners, this aesthetically pleasing chair was used every single day for months.
We weren’t planning to offer our son food until 6 months or later but he started showing readiness, our pediatrician recommended we offer him food at 4 months. While food during that time was almost strictly for fun, our son absolutely loved learning new textures and flavors. We found Baby Feeders were ideal for when we didn’t want to make a mess and do full on baby led weaning.
Absolutely not filed under aesthetically pleasing but one of our friends gave us a simple set of toy rings and I swear they were our son’s favorite toy from 1 month to 6 months. Even at a year old, he’s still entertained by them.
I don’t know what magic they are up to but Little Sleepies pajamas grow with your child and last at least 2x longer than other pajamas. Our son wore his NEWBORN Little Sleepies until he was 5 months old (when he was wearing 6-9 or 6-12 month in other brands). These are a little pricier but for the extra wear, I think they are worth it. The material feels fantastic and the foldover feet and hands is crucial.
I noted how wonderful our play gym was in my post about Must Haves for 0-3 months but from 3-6 months, our son was still using the play gym every day!
